Wellness visits are a vital part of your pet’s life. Keeping up with your dog or cat’s annual visits not only keeps them up to date on their important vaccines but also allows us to address any concerns and possibly catch problems before they arise.

Pet Wellness Care in Bourne, MA

A basic examination may include a look at your pet’s eyes, ears, teeth, and reflexes, as well as a listen to their heart and lung sounds. Wellness visits may also include periodic bloodwork. Your vet will work with you to meet your expectations for your visit and also do what they feel is best for your pet.

Our doctors at Animal Health Clinic will keep an eye on your pet’s general health during routine exams. Also, they’ll be able to spot any minor health issues before they worsen.

Because your pets are unable to express their needs, it’s crucial to have a schedule for routine medical examinations. As part of the checkup, our veterinary staff may decide to do diagnostic procedures, including blood tests and x-rays, to assess your pet’s health.

Routine urinalysis (urine testing), blood, and other tests are advised for dogs and cats who are getting older. Regular urine and blood tests for puppies and kittens may be advised; as your pet ages, the results will be compared. Regular examinations enable your veterinarian to build a picture of the general health and well-being of your pet.
